WHY ULTRA RUNNING?
I've been a runner since I was really young and ran competitively in college, D1. After that I started marathoning and then after experiencing the bombs in Boston I came back to SLC and started trail running, which turned into ultra running. A few years ago I won a 100k up in the wilderness of Idaho.
WHAT ELSE DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME ON?
I am a freelance film and video producer and I LOVE this line of work. I started at ESPN and the XGames and after 6 years began freelancing back in Salt Lake City. Last year I finished my first feature length film for Zion National Park.
IF YOU COULD DO ANYTHING (MONEY DIDN'T MATTER), WHAT WOULD YOU DO?
Splitboard forever. Sounds banal, but I'd probably just travel to new places where I could splitboard or run and try new foods and cultures. And I'd dedicate more time to making a difference in my local community because that's really important to me. I love the place I live and it matters greatly to me to give back to it.
