Overnight Breakfast versus overnight oats:

1. What's the difference between Overnight Breakfast and overnight oats?

The key difference lies within the base of each Overnight Breakfast. Brave is built on a foundation of organic oats, chia seeds, and hemp hearts to create a powerful combination of protein, fiber and healthy omega-3 fats that will keep you fueled and focused throughout the morning. We then carefully blend tasty morsels of raw fruit, nuts, and a handful of spices for a healthy dose of deliciousness. Do you ever eat a bowl of oatmeal or overnight oats and then are starving again by 10 am? Ya, that won’t happen with Overnight Breakfast. That’s the difference.

How to make Brave Overnight Breakfast:

2. How long should I let Brave activate before eating it?

We recommend allowing Brave to fully activate in the fridge for 7-9 hours after adding milk. That said, it still tastes great after about 2-3 hours if you find yourself in a pinch!

3. Your package says “Add 3/4 - 1 cup of milk.” Which amount is best?

The amount of milk you should use depends on your texture preference. We recommend staying within the suggested range but play around with different amounts until you find your sweet spot.

4. What kind of milk is best to use with Brave?

We like it with all kinds of milk. We've tried it with dairy, almond, oat, hemp, coconut etc. They all impact the flavor and consistency in their own way, and all are delicious. 

One thing we would say is, if you like the flavor of coconut we definitely recommend using coconut milk with the Toasted Coconut Mango flavor. 

5. How often should I stir or shake Brave once I add the milk?

We suggest stirring and/or shaking the mixture well immediately after adding milk and again in the morning before eating.

6. What type of container is best for making Brave in?

Our very own Brave jar of course :) If you're pantry is already full of jars, we suggest using one that is 13-17 oz. 

7. Can I eat Brave warm?

Of course! Brave is also delicious hot. We suggest activating it overnight as usual then warming it in the microwave or on the stovetop in the morning. 

8. Can I make Brave with boiling hot water? 

Yes! This is the best way to make Brave while you're camping or in the backcountry. Just bring 3/4 to 1 cup of water to a boil, empty the packet into your Brave jar and add the boiling water, stir well and let it sit with the top sealed for 2 minutes. 

9. What is Brave’s shelf life when dry?

10. Is Brave gluten free?

No, Brave isn't currently gluten free. We use certified organic gluten free oats and all the other ingredients are naturally gluten free as well. We plan to become officially certified in the near future. 

11. Is Brave vegan?

Yes, Brave is vegan. Just make sure to use your favorite dairy free milk.
